The Highland Glee Club (mens chorus founded 1908) will present its annual Spring concert on May 5 at 3:00PM at the  War Memorial Auditorium in Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Ave, Newton,  MA  There is convenient adjacent parking and handicapped access David Tiedman will direct the chorus in a variety of songs including madrigals, sea songs and spirituals among others The chorus provides a yearly scholarship with the proceeds from its concerts  to help an area student pursue a musical career After this year's open auditions, vocalist Madelaine Adams, a student from Dover-Sherborn HS, was selected and will perform at the concert She has been a featured soloist at Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall and Jordan Hall and has been honored in regional and national competitions Admission is $20 for adults while those under age 18 are free Tickets available at the door
